What are after action reports?
After Action reports date back as far as the rule of Julius Ceasar with his "Commentaries on the Gallic War." Historically, these reports were intended to aid performace evaluation and suggest means of improvement.
How does this relate to the 12th Texas?
Since the 12th Texas is not truely involved in battles, the form of an After Action Report changes. In keeping with the spirit of After Action Reports, Submitted after action reports should give the good and bad of the reenactments that the 12th Texas Attends, as well as relate the exploits of the 12th while present there. Since all members of the 12th cannot make every event that is hosted throughout the country. After action reports serve two purposes:
1. Make all reenactors aware of good events (and bad events) throughout the nation.
2. Keep members of the 12th informed as to the exploits of the unit. Any coplements or constructive critisism belongs here.
*All are welcome and encouraged to submit an after action report.
